Preferred discipline:
has to be bouldering, I do love to have myself a good
sports climb session once in a while and I guess I still
have trad in my heart too for when I really want to shit
myself up :)
Rock:
Has to be limestone or sandstone, just love the feel and
how they climb, grit is always going to be there too but
its too dependent on the weather
Background:
Grew up in Peterborough, but now live in Sheffield, The
home of grit and some of the UK’s best climber’s. I
currently work at The Climbing Works as reception staff
and also one of their instructors.
When I’m not working, I’m climbing and when I’m not
climbing I’m sleeping.
That’s a bit of a lie, I do loads, and Kayaking, slack
lining, and wake boarding and my most recent would be
snowboarding. Obviously climbing as well.

Berghaus Bouldering Leagues 2009/2010: um haven’t really
entered as I have been working, but currently beating
British champ Ned :-)

Why did you start climbing?
Um I don’t know really, I think it was my brother’s
fault, he went down to Peterborough wall one day and the
next think I knew, I was there.
Favourite place to climb?
Hmmmmm, I like Wales and Raven tor, but anywhere in the
world would have to be Albarracin, in Spain, it’s
amazing. Oh and obviously THE CLIMBING WORKS
Climbing partner:
Anyone and everyone, it really depends what I'm doing,
best part is, I can climb with the British team and
world class climbers like Sam, Lu, Leah (current Brit
Champ), Ned, Dave Mason, Katy…..the names just keep
rolling on and on.
Best climbing memory:
Probably my 1st 7c, if the weather hadn’t taken a turn
for the worst, it would have been my 1st 7c+ but that
will come hopefully soon.
Using my feet has to be there too
Any trips planned/been on this year?
None planned at the moment, but Leah goes on a 14 month
Europe trip this year, so im sure I’ll be heading out
throughout the year to different locations.
