Peterborough Climbing Wall Bouldering Comp
when: March '09
While lot's of
new faces were welcomed this year, many old ones also
made the journey to attend the eagerly awaited
13th Annual Peterborough Climbing Wall Bouldering Competition '09.
And when it was
seen what prizes there were on offer, we are sure that
even more people decided to join in on the day.
Although starting
at the later time of 6pm, this seemed to suit the
majority of climbers. Perhaps because they could fit
more mealtimes in beforehand or because the bar was open
from the start...
Competitors had
three hours to man-up and get on with the 33 routes on
offer. Which many commented were a little bit tougher than
last year. The easier routes got knocked off at the
start, and then it was down to serious business. The usual hiding of the scorecards from
fellow competitors was also going on.
Everything got
rounded off in the bar at 9pm with many prizes being
given out - Courtesy of Trail magazine and of course
PITCH. Another great comp from the PCW, we will
definitely be back for more next year.
